Cloud On Demand (“COD”) is looking for an experienced leader to fill the role of Business Unit Manager for Go To Markets (“GTM.”) If you are a seasoned business leader in the Cloud space, with proven experience at establishing new businesses, leading teams to attain stringent targets and are looking for a new challenge to establish and grow a strategic business then this may be the opportunity for you.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for the establishment of this exciting new division; therefore, you will be tasked with formulating and executing strategic business plans for the business unit.
The role requires a combination of an entrepreneurial-minded and strategic leader who can build and lead an innovative business, operating within a fluid environment.
In your role, you will:
• Formulate and drive the GTM Business Unit’s strategic vision, leveraging the wider Cloud On Demand team, the Group, key vendors – specifically AWS and Microsoft – as well as your extensive network. Your ability to focus on the immediate while also steering towards the envisioned future will set you apart as a strategic leader.
• Demonstrate an ability to build then manage a team of diverse and highly capable, forward-thinking individuals. You will therefore lead and grow a team of dynamic leaders responsible for driving compelling growth strategies in programs, marketplaces and professional services, thus entrenching COD as a market leader in these areas.
• Drive the execution of internal Marketplace growth strategies, adeptly marrying the needs of the market, channel solutions, COD’s key strengths and Vendor capabilities. Your ability to drive multiple projects and engagements will set you apart.
• Manage key relationships with multiple stakeholders internally and externally, namely channel partners, Alviva Group, Vendors, and other strategic players, to deliver relevant and strategic programs. Your ability to network and navigate complex stakeholder dynamics will earn you trust and build a base of mutually beneficial relationships.
• Keep abreast with market trends, vendor developments and the competitor landscape to make sure that strategies formulated are relevant and the overall offering is competitive. Your creative, out-of-the-box thinking, coupled with an innate ability to ‘connect the dots’, will prove beneficial and set you up to navigate constant change.
You are:
• An experienced leader, who can build robust teams, foster and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
• A passionate tech-enthusiast with demonstrated Cloud experience
• Sought after for your ability to execute quickly and within expected quality strategic insights and contribution
• A collaborative problem-solver who is able to work across multiple teams internally
• A self-starter with an entrepreneurial aptitude as well as a knack for target attainment
• A proven self-starter with a track record of building and scaling new initiatives from the ground up
Requirements:
• 5+ years in strategic leadership
• 5+ years working in the Cloud space
• Minimum tertiary qualification; Bachelors
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively at a C- suite level with strategic external stakeholders (Vendors and Suppliers)
• Able to think strategically, with a strong problem-solving capability
• Entrepreneurial flair to start and grow new businesses
• Ability to lead and grow diverse teams
