Cloud On Demand is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Business Consultant to join our Business Solutions team. In this role, you’ll focus on consulting, scaling, and guiding Developer partners, Independent Software Vendors (ISV’s) and Technology Start-ups in the Gauteng region.
Your primary responsibilities will include sourcing, building, and nurturing relationships with these partners, who operate in complex and ever-evolving environments. You’ll collaborate with them and internal teams to develop strategic plans, leveraging our range of programs, to foster growth and expansion and providing service-oriented support.
Additionally, you’ll assist them with scaling their solutions through marketing initiatives and go-to-market strategies, while also driving technical engagements, particularly in cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS. Your ability for identifying new business opportunities and linking product-market compatibility across various industries, sectors, and partner categories will enable you to identify potential opportunities and software solutions. These solutions can then be leveraged for go-to-market strategies and scalable opportunities. All the while, you’ll adeptly handle multiple deadlines across the sales, marketing, and technical realm.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:
• Achieve sales targets through a planned and programmatic approach.
• Self-drive to continuously source, engage and onboard new partners and convert them into a transacting state.
• Meet with partners in person regularly, engage with decision makers to establish rapport and build sound relationships.
• Assist partners with building out strategic growth plans.
• Oversee service delivery tasks and operational administration such as pricing, quoting, contractual info etc.
• Meet vendor / brand requirements that are deemed necessary such as reporting, forecasting, certifications etc.
• Organize and drive joint marketing activities with partners to achieve business scale.
• Drive technical engagements with partners.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technology advancements through your research and learning.
Education:
• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent certification.
Experience:
• 2+ years of digital marketing experience or similar.
• Technology and software solutions-related sales experience.
• Experience in working and technically engaging with B2B accounts.
• Experience in working and informing C-level decision-makers with strong familiarity with decision-making processes.
• Demonstrated experience building new business plans and strategic growth plans for partners.
• Strong understanding of Cloud computing, Managed Services, and Software Development advantageous.
• Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
